Candidates must have in-depth content expertise in one or more of the following:
- PreK-12 Mathematics or Science education
- PreK-12 Scientifically based Reading Research
- Early Literacy / Family Literacy
- Program/Policy Evaluation and Research
- Second Language Learning
- Assessment and Accountability Systems
- School Reform, NCLB Legislation and School Development
- Technology as a tool for Learning and Instruction
Additional candidates must be able to:
- use Microsoft Office programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- use Adobe Reader and PDF conversion software
- professionally interact with high profile clients on a daily basis with a professional
- complete requested research using the internet
- respond to clients via email, phone and video conference in a timely manner
- manage time and projects effectively to meet deadlines either established by the Project Director, Office Director or Client
- participate in and contribute to staff and client meetings
- respond to addition requests by the Project Director, Office Director or Client
Field experience in technical assistance, professional development, policy consultation, qualitative/quantitative research, or program evaluation is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with:
(1) skills in scientific research design and implementation, project management, business development & proposal writing, professional training and product development;
(2) excellent written and oral communication skills along with an ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment. Occational travel (including overnight and commercial airline travel) is also required.
