Robin Hood Foundation Library Initiative

With RMC as a critical partner, the Robin Hood Foundation, in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education, has built 31 new school  libraries in New York City since 2002—25 additional schools were completed in the Fall of 2007. RMC New York continues to help the Robin Hood Foundation portfolio by publicly endorsing the essential role of libraries (and librarians) in whole school reform,  literacy programs, and inquiry-based learning. RMC New York Associates continue to design and improve procedures  for the selection of new "Robin Hood Library" schools based on high need and monitor successful implementation of the initiative.
